Itinerary
Cómpeta
Discover history, charming mountain villages and local wine in one day Join us on a day trip that blends culture, beautiful scenery and authentic Andalusian flavours. We’ll visit one of the prettiest villages in the Axarquía region — Cómpeta — located in the hills east of Málaga. Known for its winemaking tradition, Moorish roots and stunning views, it’s a real gem. Our guide will pick you up around 9:30 a.m. for a scenic drive through the mountains. In Cómpeta, a local guide will show you around and share the village’s history and customs. You’ll also have time to browse local products like honey or olive oil. After discovering the village, we’ll head to a small, family-operated winery that has been passed down through four generations. Here, you’ll learn how their wines are made, see the tools and equipment they use, and discover what makes Malaga’s sweet wines so special. The visit ends with a tasting of four different wines — both dry and sweet — made from native grapes like Moscatel de Alejandría and Romé. Fun fact: one of the wines you'll try was served at the royal wedding of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia.
