Highlights

Aburi Botanical Gardens is a botanical garden in Aburi which occupies an area of 64.8 hectares. Founded by Governor William Brandford-Griffith and Dr. John Farrell Easmon, a Sierra Leonean medical doctor. Opened in March, 1890.
Aburi is located in the Eastern Region of Ghana about 31.4km from Accra the capital. At this Garden, you will learn about various plant species and their ecological value, here you will experience trees planted by Royals and Presidents including Queen Elizabeth II.


At Tetteh Quarshie cocoa farm you will have an experience of how cocoa was brought to Ghana by Tetteh Quarshie which today constitute one of the major export crops of the Ghanaian economy. In 1879, Tetteh Quarshie planted the seeds at this farm in Mampong.


You will be transferred to Waterfalls, a natural cascading flow of water from the rocks. Lunch will be served after the tour.

    Travelers will experience a serene, conducive and historic massive garden, on aches of land that accommodates huge trees in various unique and breadth-taking speeches grown ages ago. The entire enclave is covered in well groomed green grass and paved pathways leading through to all beautiful sight-delightful areas of the far reaching gardens. Learn about the origin of Cocoa (raw material for chocolate) in Ghana; and enjoy the spectacular scenic view of Accra from the mountain top.
  • Tetteh Quashie Cocoa Farm

    Tetteh Quarshie was a pre-independence Ghanaian agriculturalist and the person directly responsible for the introduction of cocoa crops to Ghana, which today constitute one of the major export crops of the Ghanaian economy. Quarshie travelled to the island of Fernando Po (now Bioko in Equatorial Guinea) in 1870 and returned in 1876 to Ghana in order to introduce the crop. He died on Christmas Day 1892.
  • Aburi Crafts Village

    The Aburi Crafts Village is a decent size with many shops to check out. Lots of local woodwork and artisans crafting there while you shop. There are many types of arts/crafts here including clothing, jewellery, keychains, bottle openers, baskets, furniture, etc. A wide variety of price points
