◆ Kawachi Wisteria Garden
Kawachi Wisteria Garden, located in the hills south of Kitakyushu, is a private garden renowned for its spectacular wisteria displays, featuring two iconic tunnels adorned with 22 varieties of wisteria in shades of purple, pink, white, and blue. Opened in 1977, it blooms vibrantly from late April to early May, creating enchanting walkways under cascading flowers with a sweet fragrance, and also offers autumn foliage viewing.

Riverwalk Kitakyushu is a large multi-purpose commercial and cultural complex that combines shopping, dining, arts, and business facilities in a distinctive, colorful architectural space that has become a local landmark and popular stop for visitors to Kokura.
◆ Kokura Castle
Kokura Castle, a historic landmark in Kitakyushu rebuilt in the early 1950s after wartime destruction, features striking white walls, a multi-tiered keep, and surrounding moats with beautiful gardens showcasing seasonal cherry blossoms and seasonal foliage.
◆ Akiyama Farm (Strawberry Picking)
Akiyama Farm specializes in fresh strawberry picking, where guests harvest juicy, seasonal strawberries directly from the vines in a family-friendly greenhouse setting during the winter-to-spring months. This hands-on 60 minute activity allows tasting unlimited sweet varieties like Akihime or Tochiotome, providing a delightful agritourism experience unique to Kyushu's mild climate.

A very convenient way to visit Wisteria Garden which by the way was gorgeous. The strawberry picking was fun and we ate so much that would had probably cost the ticket price. Our guide Ms Naoko is a very friendly and polite lady. We had a very nice time.
