Our school locates right in the centre of the old quarter so very easy to access and hence, after the market tour in the biggest market in Hanoi which is right near the old quarter, you can also know where to buy what in the rest of your trip here.
Within only 3 - 4 hours, you get to learn about the ingredients ( spices and Vietnamese produces), get your hands on cooking a whole meal of the most popular and authentic 5 dishes in Hanoi (or its vegetarian version for vegetarian attendants, enjoying your fruits of labour and try Vietnamese rice wine together with your classmates, receiving a cook booklet and certificate!

Explore local market and shopping with our guide, cook 5 Vietnamese dishes, eat your own fruits of labour together with Vietnamese rice vodka. Get a cook book and certificate. Menu: Pho bo (beef noodle soup), Bun cha (Hanoi BBQ pork noodle), Nem ran (fried spring roll), papaya salad, egg coffee/ chocolate. Vegetarians/ non-red meat eaters will learn vegetarian version.

We started with a vibrant trip to the local market, where we learned about fresh ingredients, and traditional produce. Back at the kitchen, the cooking class was well-structured, with step-by-step instructions that were easy to follow. We prepared five authentic dishes—each full of flavor and beautifully presented. The instructor Vy is knowledgeable, patient, and passionate, making the experience enjoyable. Highly recommend this class to anyone to enjoy a unique hands-on experience.
We joined the Cooking Class through Pelago and it was a great experience. The cooking school is just a couple of minutes from our hotel which was very convenient. We met our charming instructor at the school and after a short wait were taken to the local market stalls to get all the ingredients we needed for the class. The small group of only 6 participants made it a very intimate experience, and we were all able to learn the recipes hands on. The 5 dishes that we prepared were served at the end of the class, and they all tasted delicious. It was also great to learn the secret of Egg Coffee - which did not have any cream in the ingredients!
