Beijing government officials and local farmers not only make great efforts to grow high-quality fruits but also ensure the farming practices are environmentally friendly. Each year, Beijing's suburban farms and orchards produce quite a harvest, with everything from strawberries, cherries, apricots, pears, peaches, grapes, apples to persimmon. Fruit picking trips are available in almost all the suburban districts and counties such as Daxing, Shunyi, Pinggu, Huairou, Miyun and Changping. Today you will visit the orchard located in Huairou district, and it is famous for it's organic farming technology. You can actually taste the fruit directly from the plants inside of the orchard.
