- Park Introduction -

Located at No. 1375 Panda Avenue, Chenghua District, Chengdu, Sichuan
Province, China, the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is 10
kilometers from the city center and over 30 kilometers from Chengdu Shuangliu
International Airport. It is a world-renowned base for the ex-situ
conservation, scientific research, breeding, public education, and educational
tourism of giant pandas. The base covers an area of 1,500 mu. As a
'demonstration project for the ex-situ conservation ecology of giant pandas,'
it is world-famous for protecting and breeding unique endangered wildlife in
China, such as giant pandas and red pandas. With its lush green mountains,
mirror-like waters, rolling forests, and harmonious birdsong, it is known as
'a natural paradise for national treasures and our own utopia.' People often
say that if you have not seen a giant panda, you have not truly visited China,
which speaks to the immense popularity of giant pandas among people worldwide.
The base houses the world's largest captive-bred giant panda population, where
you can enjoy watching dozens of pandas playing and going about their daily
lives.
