Meet the Guaraní people of the Tenondé Village, located in the outskirts of São Paulo. This visit offers a rare opportunity to experience their rich traditions and ancestral way of life, preserved despite the pressures of modern urbanization. The village community continues to speak the native Guaraní language and practice sustainable agriculture.
After a scenic 2-hour drive, you’ll arrive at the village, home to around 1,200 Guaraní who rely on subsistence farming, cultivating crops. You’ll explore their fields and discover traditional agricultural techniques. As you walk through the village, you’ll witness children singing, dancing, and playing, as well as handmade crafts that reflect the community’s deep connection to their land and culture.
A traditional lunch will be served, prepared on a wood-burning stove using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
This experience not only deepens your cultural understanding but also directly supports the future of the village and its people.
