Highlights
Take an overnight adventure tour to Gal Oya National Park which is the most untouched of all of Sri Lanka’s National Parks. This is the only national park in Sri Lanka that can be visited both by Jeep and Boat. Boat safaris bring the spectacle of herds of elephants swimming from one island to another island in the reservoir. This thrilling adventure tour will also give you a chance to stay in Gal Oya Lodge which is one of the most unique eco lodges in Sri Lanka. Eight spacious bungalows are nestled in the forest canopy, each one specially placed to take advantage of the spectacular views.

Enjoy the only experience in Sri Lanka that allows you to spot wildlife from the water. It’s a unique way to immerse yourself in the animals’ habitats. With a little luck you could spot elephants swimming between islands or bathing at the lake’s edge. The Park is rich in flora and fauna which is a sanctuary to 32 species of terrestrial mammals. The highest populations are common Langur, endemic Toque Macaque, Leopard, sloth bear, Elephant, Wild Boar, three species of deer and Water Buffalo.
