You will get picked up from your hotel in the city center. Accompanied by your guide, drive to Monsoon Palace. Named after Maharana Sajjan Singh, the Monsoon Palace is also known as Sajjan Garh Palace. Built on a hill top, the Monsoon Palace offers fantastic views of Udaipur, which had risen to prominence under the rule of Maharana Sajjan Singh. It is constructed with white marble with turrets, towers and pillars which depict beautiful motifs of leaves and flowers. Despite the beauty of the Monsoon Palace along with its unique rainwater harvesting techniques, the palace was slowly abandoned and has not been renovated. Not until very recently had the Monsoon Palace been opened to the public and it has now been added to the list of Udaipur’s popular tourist destination. Enjoy the palace, its unique location and views. After you have completed your visit, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. (lunch not included). Following, you will be driven back to your hotel within city center.
