"The Palace Greatly Blessed by Heaven" Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung is the
first and largest palace of the Joseon Dynasty. It served as the main royal
residence and the seat of government. Although it was heavily damaged during
wars and occupation, it has been beautifully restored to its former glory.
Visitors can witness the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony, explore the
Gyeonghoeru Pavilion over the lotus pond, and admire the Geunjeongjeon Hall,
where the kings held court. The National Palace Museum and the National Folk
