Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime with our exciting climb to Mount Alvear in Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. This mountaineering experience will take you to explore the most remote and majestic corners of Argentine Patagonia while you face one of the most epic challenges at the end of the world. Our itinerary proposes an ascent along its “western” route, entering the well-known French Valley that gives us an implacable view of the Bouvier mountain range (northern head of Lake Khami [Fagnano]). The western route technically has a low difficulty and physically requires that we have an acceptable and active state since the ascent for the day, although it is 15 km, offers us a positive gradient of approximately 1,200m. Therefore, experience in mountain trekking is required. The summit has one of the most complete views of the mountain range. From the top we can see the Darwin mountain range, the Onashaga channel (Beagle), Lake Khami (Fagnano), a fantastic view of the Ojo del Albino glacier and Domo Blanco, among other attractions.
