From 11th November to the 17th March access to the house will be by guided tours only.
Operating Hours
  • Monday & Tuesday: Closed
  • Wednesday–Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Last admission: 1 hour before closing.
Must Know
  • On closed dates, the site may still be open—please check English Heritage directly.
  • From 11 November to 17 March, access to the house is by guided tour only.
  • Tours run every 20 minutes between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM and last approximately 45 minutes.
  • Visitors are allocated the next available tour upon arrival.
  • During this period, only the Ground Floor House and grounds are open.
  • The average recommended visit duration is 2+ hours.
