We had a capable driver who knows the inside out about the Surabaya and Mount bromo. We learnt a lot from him about the city and the volcano. The Mount bromo itself is also a must visit place. We under estimated the temperature, even in the mid day, the temperature drops to 15 celcius. It was bearable but if you are scared of cold, then good to have jackets ready.
