The wine tradition is rooted in this territory that produces the most noble wines made from traditional and high quality grape varieties. The Bairrada region holds the title with the best sparkling wine in the 2019 Portugal wine contest. On this bike tour we invite guests to cycle through the vineyards of Rota da Bairrada, an area known as the Portuguese capital of sparkling wines. After pickup of participants in Coimbra, by car with bikes, we head to Curia, where we will visit the headquarters of Rota da Bairrada. Then, we start the guided bike trip, on an easy, circular route, mixed between secondary or dirt roads surrounding some wine-growing properties, knowing this vast territory in a different and exclusive way, where you will have direct contact with the "terroir", grapes and producers. We will have two pauses to visit traditional wineries including a wine and sparkling wine tasting and in restaurant to tast the famous roasted piglet. After the visits, we will continue by bike to the car where, after storing the bikes in the car, we will return to the starting point in Coimbra
