The village of "Las Negras" is located on the banks of the Manialtepec lagoon, just 20 minutes from Puerto Escondido. There, you will be shown a large map displaying your kayak tour options based on your skills and physical condition. To start the tour at the Manialtepec River estuary, you will navigate about 6 kilometers by boat. Following your guide, you will enter a channel surrounded by dense vegetation that leads to the "Carnero," a place where migratory birds nest. Here, you can observe wood storks, roseate spoonbills, cormorants, white ibises, crested caracaras, frigate birds, earwigs, plovers, and a variety of herons. As you cross the fresh waters of the Manialtepec River, which fill the lagoon, you can enjoy a well-deserved rest on the beach of Puerto Soil. The return trip can be done partly in kayaks and partly in the boat, according to your preference. End your tour by listening to the soothing sounds of the water and the birds.
