Meet your naturalist guide in Catania and travel to the north side of Mount Etna.
Once you reach Piano Provenzana (the less touristy side), board a special 4x4 vehicle for the ascent to the summit area (2950 meters). From there, enjoy a moderate hike accompanied by your naturalist guide and a licensed volcanological guide, who is required for excursions at this altitude.
Please note that the 4x4 ascent fee (€70 per person) is not included in the tour price and must be paid directly to your guide on the day of the tour.
Continue your experience by exploring one of Mount Etna's fascinating volcanic caves. Helmets and headlamps will be provided.
At lunchtime, relax at a local winery on the slopes of Mount Etna and enjoy a light lunch featuring traditional Sicilian specialties, accompanied by a tasting of two Etna DOC wines.
Winter itinerary (January–March): due to the snow, the access to the area may require a snowcat (30€ per person extra).
