Tenjinmatsuri Fireworks Festival
Tenjinmatsuri is one of the three most important festivals in Japan, along with Kyoto's Gion Matsuri and Tokyo's Kanda Matsuri. The festival began in the 10th century and is now held annually on July 24-25. The main festivities are a land procession and a river procession with fireworks on the second day, July 25.
