- Sapa Town to Hoang Lien Cable Car Station: Take Muong Hoa monorail (departs
from Sapa Station) or take a taxi
- Hoang Lien Station to Fansipan Station: Take the cable car (the only
option)
- Fansipan Station to Fansipan Peak: Take the monorail (buy a ticket at the
onsite vendor) or climb about 700 steps for 10–15 minutes to Fansipan Peak)
**NOTE: According to local authorities' policy, visitors will need to pay an
additional fee of VND 10,000 for adult over 16 years old, and VND 5,000 for
children over 6 years old to under 16 years old when visiting Fansipan.

Fansipan is awesome, beautiful rose garden and flowers. Muong Hao train station is clean and nice. Cable car is good too. Only too many steps up to the Fansipan peak summit. Once you reach up the summit, its a wonderful feeling of achievement 👏 😀 overall worth the trip to Fansipan!
Love the monorail ride from Sapa station and the cable car ride was awesome. You can literally see yourself reaching the peak of the mountain. The Fansipan Rose Garden is so lovely and the mini village at the top showcase amazing culture and traditions of the tribal people.
Recommended! I suggest buying the upward peak rail ticket. It saves a lot of energy when going up, especially at the high altitude. After reaching the summit, you can walk down slowly and enjoy the scenery along the way. The downhill walk is much easier and more enjoyable.
Great overall experience at Fansipan! The cable car and Muong Hoa monorail are very convenient. The buffet is optional — we found it nice to have, but whether it’s worth adding really depends on your preference and schedule. One tip: if you plan to go up early in the morning, remember to bring an energy bar, snacks, or some food with you. We spent around 4 hours exploring Fansipan, so having something to eat along the way was definitely helpful.
