This beautiful lagoon sits in the crater of the volcano of the same name, in the Chugchilán mountain range; its waters are characterized by having a strong mineralization that prevents ichthyological and ornithological life. Our adventure will start very early in the morning, since our destination is almost three hours from the capital, throughout the trip we will enjoy beautiful landscapes until we reach our starting point, which is the viewpoint of the lagoon, in this place We will begin the descent for approximately 45 minutes, to reach its shores, throughout the journey we will observe the wonderful Andean landscape that surrounds the lagoon, once on the shore it is optional to do the canoeing activity (kayak). After taking the necessary time, we will begin the return of approximately two hours, with the due precautions that the ascent implies, to finally return to Quito.
