These following terms and conditions apply to the purchase and use of Pelago Gift Cards issued by Encounters Pte Ltd (the “Gift Card”). By purchasing or using a Gift Card, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Validity Period: Gift Cards are valid for one (1) year from the date of electronic delivery (the “Expiry Date”).
Expiration: Any unused balance remaining after the Expiry Date will be forfeited and cannot be refunded or extended.
Activity Dates: A Gift Card must be used to make a booking before the Expiry Date. Once a booking is confirmed, it remains valid even if the scheduled activity takes place after the Expiry Date.
Scope of Use: Gift Cards can be used for any Pelago product or service that is available for purchase using standard payment methods (e.g., credit/debit card, PayNow, or other cash-equivalent methods).
Exclusions: Gift Cards cannot be used for "KrisFlyer Experiences" or for any other products that are exclusively redeemable via KrisFlyer miles.
Multiple Bookings: Partial redemption is permitted. A Gift Card may be used for more than one booking until the total value has been fully used.
Balance Check: Pelago customers may check their remaining balance by logging into their Pelago account under the “Rewards” section, or when applying the Gift Card code in the promo field during checkout.
Currency of usage: If a booking is made in a currency different from the Gift Card’s original currency, Pelago will convert the Gift Card value using the applicable Pelago exchange rate in effect at the time of booking.
Single Tender Rule: A Gift Card may not be used in conjunction with any other promotions, discount codes, airline offers, or with more than one Gift Card for the same booking.
Insufficient Balance: If the total cost of the booking exceeds the value of the Gift Card, the remaining balance must be paid using one of the standard payment methods available on the Pelago platform.
Earning Miles on Purchase: Gift Cards purchased using standard payment methods (such as credit/debit cards or other cash equivalent methods) will earn KrisFlyer miles based on the earn rate applicable at the time of purchase. Gift Cards purchased through KrisFlyer miles redemption are not eligible to earn additional KrisFlyer miles.
Earning on Redemption: KrisFlyer miles will not be earned on any portion of the booking paid for using Gift Card credits. KrisFlyer Miles will only accrue on the portion of the booking paid through standard payment methods.
Refund Method: In the event of a cancellation for a booking made wholly or partially with a Gift Card, the portion of the amount paid using the Gift Card will be credited back to the original Gift Card.
Validity on Refunds: Refunded credits retain the original expiration date of the Gift Card. Processing a refund does not extend the validity period of the Gift Card.
Pelago is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or unauthorised use of any Gift Card. Gift Cards are non-transferable and may not be resold, exchanged for cash, or refunded (except as required by law).
Pelago may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Updated versions will be published on Pelago.com and will apply prospectively to future purchases.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
Pelago reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including but not limited to the voiding of Gift Cards, withholding of remaining balances, and suspension of user accounts in cases where fraudulent, abusive or suspicious activity is suspected in connection with Gift Card purchases or redemptions. This includes but is not limited to, creating fake accounts, using false information or manipulating the payment or redemption process in any way.
