Your adventure begins as we cruise toward the manta ray site. Take in views while watching for marine life. Dolphins are sometimes spotted, and humpback whales may also be seen during whale season (Nov - Mar). Once arrived, guests wil swim to our large floating light raft, where you'll hold on throughout the tour. The raft's underwater lights attract plankton, the manta rays' natural food source. As they feed, reef mantas glide, swoop, and barrel roll beneath you, sometimes coming within inches of the raft for an unforgettable encounter. At Iruka, we do not free dive with mantas. Instead, guests enjoy the experience while holding onto the raft. Our crew provides help and ensures your comfort. If you choose to return to the boat during the snorkel, you will stay on board for the rest of the excursion.
