• Lake Matheson (1 hr)

• Bruce Bay (10 min)

  Thick native rainforest meets the seemingly endless open ocean. Bruce Bay showcases the best of the West Coast.

• Ship Creek (30 min)

  Explore where ancient rainforest meets the ocean. Dig your toes in the sand and enjoy an easy 1 km walking track along the dunes.

• Hard Antler, Haast (45 min)

  Stop at Hard Antler for a 45-minute lunch break.

• Thunder Creek Falls (20 min)

  An easy 5-minute walk rewards you with a spectacular view of Thunder Creek Falls, a 28-metre waterfall pouring from a hanging valley.

• Blue Pools (1 hr)

  Located in Mt Aspiring National Park, this easy 3 km round trip leads to the breathtaking blue waters of the Makarora River.

• Lake Hāwea (10 min)

  Quick photo stop at a lookout point between Lake Wānaka and Lake Hāwea while heading eastward past the stunning lake.
