This unique workshop, led by a professional artist, invites you to get hands-on and creative. You can choose between two techniques: the traditional Azulejo glazing method, which is kiln-fired, or the ready-to-go acrylic painting option, allowing you to take your finished tile home immediately the workshop. During the 2-hour session, you’ll learn about the history of Portuguese tiles, different styles and techniques. You may follow a traditional design or create your own. No worries if you’re a beginner: choose from 10 traditional stencils you can trace in a few minutes. All materials are provided, including one tile per person and several vibrant colors to choose from. With the traditional technique, your glazed tile will be fired in our ceramic kiln. Finished tiles can be picked up after five business days at our studio, or mailed to you (Europe – 15 €, USA – 25 € with tracking). If you choose the ready-to-go technique, you’ll paint with fast-drying acrylics sealed with a protective varnish, ready for pickup right after the workshop – perfect for travelers!
