Fantastic experience riding along the beach with friendly and helpful guides who took great care of us and the horses. Highly recommend picking the option to swim with them, as the horses seemed to really enjoy being in the water and the guides also became enthusiastic photographers, teaching us how to pose on top of the horses — got some crazy shots that looked professionally taken! Whole activity was well-organised, with equipment and drinks provided during a short break while they prepared the horses for the swim. Love that the horses’ welfare were a priority to the staff and they were definitely well looked after. Will visit again when we’re back in Phuket!

Booking via Pelago was seamless The Horseback ride experience itself was awesome, though be prepared to have some form of bum/ pelvic ache the next day if you aren't an experienced rider (but totally worth it). My 4 and 6 year olds thoroughly enjoyed themselves, their horses were led one-on-one by handlers. The handlers asked my kids if they wanted a little gallop and followed my kids' wishes. My horse had a little feisty moment when my handler got him to gallop but I managed to stay on the horse and all was well in the end. My only suggestion is for more information/communications beforehand, we were staying at Banyan Tree, and the actual horse ride took place at the beach right opposite where we stayed, but we had to cab to the meeting place to sign waivers/ choose helmets, then we were transported to the beach with a horse trailer attached to our truck, then after the gallop we were transported back to the office to collect our belongings. We hadn't known before hand the beach was right opposite our hotel, or we wouldn't have deposited our belongings at the office and then had to go back to the office to collect belongings before cabbing back to hotel again.
