Excellent place to experience Peranakan culture and food. Warm SIA hospitality and informative season conducted by the cabin crew who is well-versed in Peranakan history. Excellent knowledge sharing. It was truly an enjoyable session where we learnt something new about the Peranakan culture and made many new friends!
I got curious of this tour after watching the Netflix show on Nonya, and it was a delightful experience to feel part of the peranakan culture! I particularly liked the museum where you discover many amazing art works with very old pictures too, and the best is you can become a nonya yourself and dress with a batik outfit! I'd definitely book this tour again when some friends come over to Singapore, as it's one of the best way to discover the local culture, with some very nice guides as Singapore Airlines Cabin Crew!
It was a fun filled session for us! The kids and us had a lot of fun dressing up in the Nyonya Kebaya outfits and we took a lot of family pictures together. The crew ambassadors were lovely and delightful, taking the time to walk us through the life of a Peranakan in Singapore in the past which was so interesting. We also got to try the yummy Nyonya kuehs! We will definitely be back!
The Singapore Airline hospitality you experience in the skies can now be found on the ground. Warm and welcoming cabin crew from my very first step into this wonderful relic of Peranakan history. Memorable storytelling, delicious kuehs, and immersive hands-on activities made this the perfect day out.
Went for this tour with my girlfriends - we had lots of fun experiencing the Peranakan culture and food. Made pins with the batik print fabric, tried on the traditional kebayas and sampled the delicious Nyonya kuehs! 10/10 would reccomend everyone to book this - especially if you're looking for things to do in SG :)
I attended the Tour with Nonya Kueh Sampling & Batik Workshop with a couple of friends. When we arrived, the cabin crew were already there, all smiles. We were also served yummy food and coffee/tea, tried on traditional outfits, and took photos! Out of the whole tour, I enjoyed the batik handicraft workshop the most because I learnt something new and got to take home my craft. From start to end, it really felt like I was on flight. The crew was warm and friendly and I enjoyed myself! One tip: try to get a light breakfast across the street and soak in the atmosphere of a 'vintage town'. The nonya kueh serving is quite generous so something light in the morning is good enough.
