Highlights

Koh Ker is unique for its pyramid-style central temple, Prasat Thom, which is unlike other temples in Cambodia, and for being a rare, short-lived capital of the Khmer Empire away from Angkor. Its architecture, developed during its time as capital, featured large-scale construction, and it was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in September 2023. Prasat Thom Pyramid: The seven-tiered, 30-meter-high pyramid of Prasat Thom is the most distinctive feature. It is a unique design compared to the more typical mountain-style temples of the region.


Preah Khan Kampong Svay is unique for its massive size, distinct art motifs like the three-headed elephants and Garuda, its status as a major industrial center, and its remote location that has preserved a "jungle temple" atmosphere with fewer tourists.

    PRASAT KOH KER (Group of temples) is in Preah Vihear province as well. This temple is like a Pyramid with seven levels up to the sky. Don’t miss the panoramic view from the top, wonderful for photos. We’ll also see smaller temples in the group – Prasat Krachap, Prasat Neang Kmao, Prasat Ling, Moat, and Prasat Bram, Prasat Chen. Most of these temples are cover by jungle as this area was abandoned and only recently discovered.

    The archeological complex of Preah Khan of Kampong Svay or Prasat Bakan or Bakan Svay Rolay is located 100 km east of Angkor, in Preah Vihear province, Cambodia. It stands as the largest single religious complex ever built during Angkorian Era, as its exterior enclosure is over 22 km square, even if the isolated location makes it one of the less-visited. Preah Khan Kompong Svay also a group of temples and biggest Buddha standing statue.
