Explore Omi-Hachiman, a town filled with historical charm, where white-walled storehouses and traditional merchant houses still remain. The atmospheric Hachiman-bori Canal, built in the Azuchi–Momoyama period, is also famous as a filming location for period dramas.
Located just beside the canal, Himure Hachiman-gu Shrine has long been revered by the people of Omi-Hachiman for its blessings in warding off misfortune and bringing business prosperity.
