We begin with a tour of our neighborhood, stopping by the communal bread oven, and the local souks, where we will acquire all of the supplies for the lesson. We will lead you on a culinary trip, explaining the spices used in Moroccan recipes as you prepare a selection of Moroccan salads, a main meal tagine, and a fruit dessert dish. We will also show the preparation of Moroccan mint tea. Salads like courgette, aubergine, and sweet tomato are popular, and tagines like chicken with preserved lemon and olives or lamb with prunes are popular, but we can show you any that you want to master. We will teach in French or English if you prefer. You'll learn a lot about Moroccan life while you attend the lesson - no topic is off-limits! We've been teaching the class for a few years now, and it's hands down one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences you'll have in Marrakech. We'll feed you everything you've prepared for lunch after class.
