The transfer was easy and well arranged. We arrived earlier and was able to get in the car earlier. Driver was already waiting in the airport before scheduled transfer.

Booked an airport transfer to/fro airport/hotel in Phuket. While the initial pickup from airport went well with a text sent the day before with clear instructions on meetup point and time, the return hotel to airport leg went awry. Tried calling the local agency number listed, texted them too to ask if there is a confirmed driver coming as we hadn't heard from them all went unanswered. Contacted Pelago and had to toggle back and forth to finally get a human customer service but even then he/she couldn't give me an answer if someone was coming. Waited till the scheduled time and decided we don't want to wait indefinitely as we had a flight to catch and morning traffic can stretch the journey even longer , we called a Grab car. We finally saw the Pelago driver dashing past us holding a phone asking people if they are me, the person supposed to be picked up when our Grab car arrived, which by then is already past the scheduled pickup time. We decided to go ahead with Grab cos at least the Grab driver came promptly. After informing Pelago that we expect to be refunded as the scheduled pickup driver didn't show up on time nor did we receive any confirmation that someone was coming or given a car number to look out for. We have photos with time stamps to support our case but Pelago came back to say that their local service provider was on time and there will not be a refund in this case. We got tired of going back and forth trying to justify ourselves. Why would we opt to pay twice and more for a ride to the airport unless we had no choice? This wasn't for a sightseeing trip where time wasn't much of an issue but was to catch a flight! As a business backed by Singapore Airlines, you would think that local partners on Pelago platform holds the same high standards. Sadly, this isn't the case and service recovery from Pelago is also lacking. We are just thankful it wasn't a big ticket travel experience booked with Pelago and neither will we be using them in the future.
