Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium is located in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, in the city
of Sendai on the Pacific coast of Honshu. This coastline is known as the
Sanriku Coast (a collective term for the coast stretching from the
southeastern part of Aomori Prefecture, along the coast of Iwate Prefecture,
to the Oshika Peninsula in Miyagi Prefecture). Situated in the coastal area
east of Sendai, the aquarium leverages its prime location and marine resources
