Highlights
Get to know the highlights of the center of Aarhus in a 3-hour walk with a professional guide who will accompany you from the ship. You will see Old Town, Viking Museum (closed on weekends!), Aarhus Cathedral, ARoS Aarhus Kunstmuseum, Aarhus Theatre, Catholic Church of Our Lady, etc.

In 1914 the museum opened as the world's first open-air museum of its kind, concentrating on town culture rather than village culture. It is located beneath the Nordea bank building and on the site of an archaeological excavation of the 1960s, 3 m (9.8 ft) below street level. The excavations revealed various Viking Age structures, items, and parts of a human skeleton. The museum provides information regarding the history of Viking Age Aarhus. The cathedral is situated on the port side of the central square in the inner city. The church can seat around 1200 people.
