    Along the left bank of the Minho River, on the way to Melgaço, you’ll find numerous wineries, farms, and producers of Alvarinho wine. As we enter the county from Monção or Spain, we can admire the vineyards planted in magnificent amphitheater-like terraces halfway up the slopes. This unique microclimate combines Soil, Sun, Suffering, Wisdom, and Quiet—the five "S’s" that shape a wine full of art and life. Born in a one-of-a-kind terroir, from a singular grape variety that thrives only in the Iberian Peninsula below 600 meters of altitude, Alvarinho wine is a product of limited production and, therefore, exclusivity. Crafted by passionate vintners who cherish the vine and the pursuit of excellence, Alvarinho is truly a class apart. The scenery is breathtaking, and the word paradise fits perfectly.
