We learn the sad story of Queen Anne and her grand legacy, see the College of Arms, the ‘wobbly bridge’, the power station that became a famous gallery, the site of Shakespeare’s original Globe theatre, cruel bear baiting, tales of the foul-mouthed ferrymen, tales of fire and ice and all the naughty things that happened at Bankside. We then pass the ruins of the Bishop of Winchester's Palace, a ship that went round the world 500 years ago, Southwark Cathedral and finally London Bridge where I'll leave you at Borough Market for a spot of lunch or a riverside drink.
