Highlights
We set sail from the local tourist pier crossing the wide Bay of Ushuaia until we reach the Beagle Channel through Paso Chico.
There we will sail around the Island of the Birds where we will be able to appreciate the Fuegian avifauna. We will observe: Skúas, Black-browed Albatross, Vapor Ducks, Cauquenes, Cook Gulls and Gray Gulls. Then, we will approach Isla de los Lobos where we will be able to observe sea lions with one and two hairs. Both islands belong to the Bridges archipelago.
Arriving at Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse (The Illuminators), we will be able to see the colonies of Imperial Cormorants and Rock Cormorants while listening to the story of the sinking of the SS Monte Cervantes that he starred in 1930.
We will make a descent in Puerto Karelo, belonging to the Bridges Islands, where you can visit genuine Yámana shell middens. This guided walk lasts approximately 20 minutes and concentrates us on a panoramic point where very good photographs can be taken.

In addition to having the experience of walking on a small island in the middle of the Beagle Channel, the goal is to appreciate the following three fundamental attractions: Conchero Yámanas: archaeological remains of the inhabitants of the Beagle Canal. A few meters from the pier are deposits of the settlements of the Yamanas or Yaganes, we will enter one of them and, from the explanations of the guide, we will imagine how they lived. In addition, a cut in the shell wall will allow us to better understand and observe the stratification of the discarded mussel leaflets.
