The tour we booked was cancelled due to weather conditions. However, we were given multiple alternative options: next day, same place, same time or same day, different place, same time or later in the day. We opted to go in the afternoon from the alternative harbour. We were about ten minutes out when we saw spray. It turned out to be a blue whale, a rare animal and a rare occurrence in the fjord. And to make it even more special, it showed its fluke while diving, which is uncommon behaviour for blue whales.
