You will be greeted by our guide and driver at your hotel’s lobby at 8.00am then we set off to Kompong Phluk village – is a small village located at the edge of Tonle Sap Lake, about 25km from central Siem Reap (30mins drive). We will stop for guided walking at Rolous market with interesting highlights of local trades and the area has the rich history dating back to 1902 before Angkor time came to life. Once we arrived at Kompong Phluk pier, we process to embark a private sheltered boat, enjoy sightseeing along the canal before the excursion reaches the stilt houses. The boat goes through high stilt houses, see the highlight of fishing activities as well as see people selling fruits, meats from their boats, you sometimes see kids in student uniforms coming back from their classes. Witness how life works on the water and how people make the lake as home. Continue by canoe to explore the mangroves around 1 hour, we may see the waterbirds before we dock to our regular boat to see the great lake of Tonle Sap then our tour guide will explain you about Tonle Sap ecosystem. Disembark and return back to your hotel.
