Have you ever wondered how the senses work together to influence your wine
tasting experience? Join us in our exclusive Fortified Cellar to find out with
a bespoke, fun and interactive wine tasting that will engage and challenge
your senses.
The five senses all play a role in how we experience and taste wine. Your host
will guide you through the wine tasting process and describe what role each of
the senses play during the process. To challenge your senses and your wine
tasting experience, you will be
TASTING IN THE DARK…
Journey deep into the darkness of our Fortified Cellar, we will turn down the
lights, put on the blindfolds and pour wine into black wine glasses to
discover what happens when you remove the sense of sight, and understand how
it influences your wine tasting experience.
Tasting in the Dark is suitable for all levels, no prior knowledge required.
This tasting is about enhancing your wine knowledge and gaining a deeper
understanding of your palate - how you taste wine - to elevate the wine
experience. You will walk away with wine sensory tricks and skills you can
take to your next social gathering.

Your Tasting in the Dark Experience will begin at the Hardys Tintara Cellar
Door.
When arriving at Hardys Tintara, located on the Main Road of McLaren Vale, our
Cellar Door is the first historical, iron stone building on the left-hand side
as you head down the driveway. On-site parking is available, drive through the
property's main gates and turn right.
You will meet your host at the Hardys Tintara Cellar Door where you will be
guided to our Fortified Barrel Hall. This room is on the bottom level of the
original winery, and maintains a constant temperature of 18 degrees Celsius.
For the cooler wintery months, we have blankets and a heater but we do suggest
bringing along a warm jacket and then during the warmer summery months we
suggest bringing a light jacket with you.
We recommend arriving 10 minutes before your booking, as we may not be able to
accommodate late arrivals. Should you wish to make any changes to your
