Join us for an unforgettable trip to Big Almaty Lake — a “must-see” in Almaty.


Car option: Comfortable transfer from your hotel, 60 minutes at the lake, then return. Ideal if you want to enjoy the views without a challenging climb.


Hiking option (for fit and experienced hikers): 14 km mountain trail to 2,511 m with breathtaking views, including a traditional Kazakh Altybakan swing, then descent via the Moon Valley. Takes 2–3 hours up, 2 hours at the lake, and the same route back. Hiking boots required; trekking poles and raincoats provided.

- Passport required (border zone).
- Route may vary depending on weather.
- October is a rainy month, check the forecast, we don't guarantee a clear view of the lake.
- From November to May, the lake is frozen.
