It's an amazing day trip from Fez to the blue city (chaouen) situated North of Fez in the Rif mountains. The scenery is gorgeous: different landscapes, as well as colorful mountains .the blue city, is nested at the feet of the mountains. This is exactly what the compound word chefchouen mean: look at horns. The city dates back to 15 th century. It was, especially inhabited by the Moslems who were exiled from Spain.
