Welcome to Whale Watching Club (WWC)!
We are an independent whale watching company, operating since 2013. Our luxury 60-ft catamaran, Queen Whale, carries a maximum of 55 guests for a comfortable and personalized experience.
Our captain, Manoj, has over 20 years of sailing experience in southern Sri Lanka and 13 years specializing in whale watching.
Wildlife Sightings
Whales: ~50% chance
Dolphins: ~90% chance
As these are wild animals in their natural habitat, sightings cannot be guaranteed. Even if whales are not seen, you'll enjoy a relaxing boat safari on the beautiful southern ocean, with the opportunity to experience incredible marine wildlife.
We always do our best to find whales while respecting their natural habitat and ensuring responsible wildlife viewing.

Hi my dear friend ❤️, Thank you for your interest in WWC ❤️ – The Best Ethical Whale Watching Company in Mirissa. Current sighting conditions: Whales: ~50% Dolphins: ~90% At the moment, we can promise a beautiful ocean safari, and if we're lucky, we'll also see whales. We always do our best to find them. We also stop for about 30 minutes during the tour so you can enjoy a sea bath (please bring suitable clothes). At WWC ❤️, we follow ethical whale watching practices. We never chase or disturb whales—we respect their natural behavior, even if other boats do not. Our priority is the welfare of these amazing animals while giving our guests the best possible experience. Fantastic experience with WWC. Well maintained boat. Saw sea turtles, many dolphins and whales as well. The boat crew went all the way back into the sea even when the trip was over to chase a whale! Very helpful crew and good breakfast as well. Would definitely recommend anyone visiting Mirissa to only go whale watching with WWC.
We didn't see any whales but we did see dolphins and turtles and the crew did an amazing job on entertaining us.
