It is important to remember that this is not Pontal do Atalaia, but the Pontal Beach, which is right at the entrance to the city. Although its location is stated as being in "Cabo Frio", but in fact, we stayed in a very special little piece that is on the side of Arraial do Cabo. It is an exotic lagoon, with the mixture of fresh and salty water that has a reddish color and is also quite dark. Oh, and it's also a lagoon of warmer waters than the sea.
