Passing through The Circus Maximus, was the largest stadium in ancient Rome, mainly used for chariot races and public events. Located in the valley between the Palatine and Aventine Hills, it could hold an estimated 150,000 to 250,000 spectators, making it one of the biggest entertainment venues in history. First built in the 6th century BCE, it was expanded and restored many times by different emperors, becoming a symbol of Roman engineering and mass entertainment.
