Our first destination is the Royal Castle in Bobolice—a stunning example of a 14th-century fortress brought back to life from total ruin. We will walk the castle grounds to admire its majestic silhouette. To kick off our adventure in "Slow Tour" style, we’ll stop at the local castle tavern (Karczma) for a morning coffee with a view of the medieval walls.Ruiny Zamku Mirow
30 minsAdmission Ticket IncludedJust a short drive from its "twin" in Bobolice stands the raw and dramatic ruin of Mirów Castle. This site offers a perfect contrast to its restored brother, showing the "romantic" side of the Eagle's Nests trail. We will visit a spectacular viewpoint to discuss the fascinating medieval industrial history that led to the creation of this "desert" and hear about its unique role as a military training ground for the Afrika Korps during WWII. 1 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedOur final destination is a 30-minute drive into the heart of the Ojcowski National Park. Often called the "Pearl of the Polish Renaissance," this castle is the best-preserved residence on the trail. We will visit the stunning outer courtyard (entrance included) to admire the Italian-style loggias and the famous "Hercules' Club"—a 25-meter tall limestone monolith. We conclude our journey with a relaxing coffee or dessert at the castle's panoramic cafe before the 45-minute return drive to Krakow.
