    After vehicle hand-over make your way to south on the D1275 to NamibGrens. The perfect stop-over en-route to Sossusvlei. It is located only 60 km from the small trading post of Solitaire.

A salt and clay pan surrounded by high red dunes, located in the southern part of the Namib Desert and in the Namib-Naukluft National Park of Namibia. Look forward to preparing your meals on gas cookers or a fire.

(German for "Mouth of the Swakop") Passing through Solitaire en-route, which is known in The Netherlands because of the book of the same name, by Dutch author Ton van der Lee, telling about his stay in this place. It is located in central Namibia near the Namib-Naukluft National Park and currently hosts the only cafe, gasoline station and bakery. There is also a small general dealer, the only one between the dunes at Sossusvlei and the coast at Walvis Bay, as well as all the way to the capital of Windhoek.
