Explore illuminated Beijing old neighborhood at night. You will see many traditional style courtyard houses along the alley. Nowadays, the 800-meter long south-north Nanluoguxiang Hutong is lined with numerous trendy bars, tasty restaurants, unique hostels, lively themed stores and itinerant. You also get to see hundreds shops with local food, crafts, bars, drinks. Free to shop around and try out the local food there ( at least 8 differents local street food would be included).
