Chibi Maruko-chan Land, located in Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City— the Furusato
of the author Momoko Sakura—is Japan's only permanent museum dedicated to the
"Chibi Maruko-chan" series. The museum faithfully recreates many classic
scenes, such as "Momoko Sakura's House," where Maruko lives; "Classroom 3-4,"
where Maruko goes to school; and the familiar shopping street from the series,

handwritten manuscripts and animation materials at "Sakura Momoko Gallery" to
