Tickets are free on Sundays and national public holidays for all residents in Portugal. You must go to the monument's ticket office on the day of your visit and present your Citizen Card

The assigned time slot allows entry to the Palace. You can visit the park at any time.
Usage
Please note that the time indicated on the ticket corresponds to the time of entry in the Palace and not to the time of entry into the Park – this distance takes approximately 30 minutes

From March 2nd to April 1st, 2026, the Private Apartments area of The National Palace of Pena will be restricted to visitors, due to ongoing works
Access to the National Palace of Pena via the Pena Ramp is temporarily disrupted. As an alternative:
Largo de São Pedro: reach the monument entrance via Calçada da Pena
Santa Eufémia park: Access via the pedestrian route linking the Santa Eufémia Chapel to Casa da Lapa.

Transfer services:
There is a paid transfer service available bringing guests from the park entrance to the palace. The service runs every 15 minutes and is wheelchair accessible
There's a free hop-on hop-off transfer service available between the Palace and the Chalet of the Countess of Edla. Simply show your entrance ticket and hop on!

Beautiful place. Tour guide spent 1h explaining the different routes before we had free time.
Just need to show the e-ticket at the entrance for enter. Access strictly by time. The palace architecture is diff from the typical European palace.
Super nice....highly recommended.....
Easy with pre purchased tickets, though it's not worth the visit. Huge queues and the palace isn't anything special. Viewing it for free from the outside is enough. Park nearby is worth the visit
