This scuba diving tour requires you to swim without assistance in the deep ocean. If you are not comfortable swimming then please call us to book a private experience. Shore diving at Kahekili Beach in Kaanapali, Maui provides year-round perfect ocean conditions for scuba diving. Your expert dive instructor will help you learn the basics by practicing a few skills in shallow water. From there you hover off the sand to experience an exhilarating scuba dive! Guests often see colorful corals, Hawaiian turtles, moray eels, and tropical fish! The duration of this Beginner Scuba Dive is about 2 hours. PLEASE READ TO AVOID EXPULSION FROM THE ACTIVITY: Swimming in the deep ocean is REQUIRED. You will not be refunded if you misrepresent your swimming abilities. You must wait at sea level for 18 hours to fly, zipline, or ascend Haleakala AFTER your dive(s). Before scuba diving, you fill out a medical statement. You must be able to answer "NO" to each question. Any "YES” ANSWER REQUIRES A CLEARANCE FROM YOUR DOCTOR. Google "PADI Medical Form" to review this statement.
