Hozugawa River Boat Ride (Hozugawa Kudari)

Absolutely beautiful scenery, we were there in November. We felt we had a very safe trip, didn't get wet other than a few drops of river water spray, the boat literally cruised through the rapids. Boatmen knew a little English and pointed out some interesting facts and cracked a few jokes to lighten the mood. Maybe 2 hours is a bit long in this day and age for many people, I found it good value. Wonder how they get the boats back upstream.
Fun with nice view of autumn leaves
I had my most memorable time in kyoto thanks to the hozugawa boat ride. Very entertaining and scenic
It was a fun experience. The crew was entertaining, making the ride an unforgettable experience. The ride ends at the bamboo forest, which you can visit after the ride.
It was fun.
fantastic boat ride. better than the scenic railway as the slower pace allow more time to snap pictures and enjoy the autumn colours. the boatman were funny which added more fun to the tour. the periodic rapids also add to the excitement. highly recommended
