In 1999 it was reconstructed based on historical models over an area of 1715 qm. 189 m long and 10 m wide, the Schönbrunn Orangery is one of the 2 largest baroque orangeries in the world, the other being at Versailles. Due to wheather conditions, the presenation from October till mid-May focuses only winter-hardy, fruit bearing trees and schrubs.
